Martha's Little Visitor Chapter 10

Thomas sits up still inside of the drawer with his knees to his chest looking up at Martha with an unknowing expression on his face.

Martha looks down at Thomas with a half smile on her face feeling a little guilty about forcing him in her sock drawer and for scaring him half to death.

It wasn't until Thomas broke the silence by asking his question earlier Martha thought about it for a while until finally she figured out what to say.

"Um... are you mad at me" she asked with a slight stutter kind of nervous to see his reaction.

"No I'm not mad at least not you but I am pretty upset" he replied.

Martha's guilt further increases.

"So who was that you were speaking with" he said wondering who's voice that was.

"That was my uncle he owns the bakery I found you in last night he just wanted to know what I was doing awake late last night" she told him.

"You didn't tell him about me did you" he asked beginning to feel uneasy around her again.

"No I made sure to leave that part out of my explanation" she reassured him with a warm smile on her face.

"So what happens now" Thomas asked not knowing what will come next.

"I don't know wanna go get some breakfast".
